At the 2023 Watches & Wonders Geneva exhibition, Tudor introduced the third generation of the Black Bay dive watch. The most significant improvements include a thinner case and the full adoption of the METAS-certified MT5602-U movement, achieving a precision of 0/+5 seconds per day.

The new generation Black Bay retains the classic design of a 41mm diameter and a burgundy bezel. The case thickness has been reduced to 13.6mm, making it approximately 1mm thinner than the previous model and enhancing wearing comfort. The crown’s fluting has been deepened for better grip during time-setting operations.

The black dial features a sunburst finish. The text at 6 o’clock has been streamlined from three lines to two. The gilded hands and hour markers, paired with an off-white Super-LumiNova coating, create a vintage aesthetic. The minute hand has a slimmer tail, and the seconds hand features the beloved “lollipop” style.

The new model is powered by the upgraded MT5602-U self-winding movement. This movement has received METAS Master Chronometer certification, ensuring precision of 0/+5 seconds per day and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 70-hour power reserve.

It comes on a black rubber strap equipped with the T-Fit clasp for quick length adjustment, allowing for up to 8mm of extension. The official price is €3,950.
