The French independent watchmaker Trilobe presents the Nuit Fantastique Rotating Dial Watch, showcasing the brand’s ingenious “triple rotation” display system. Instead of conventional hands, the watch tells time through three counterclockwise-rotating rings that indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds. Its off-centered layout offers a fresh and unconventional aesthetic.
The 40.5mm stainless steel case features vertically satin-brushed sides and polished bezel and lugs, creating a refined contrast of textures. A screw-down crown ensures 50-meter water resistance.
The dial is composed of multiple nested rotating discs — the outermost ring rotates counterclockwise to display the hours, indicated by a clover-shaped marker at 12 o’clock. The minute disc appears through a small aperture at 11 o’clock, while the seconds subdial below it indicates the running seconds with the current second shown at the top. The gray dial contrasts elegantly with deep blue subdials and hour ring, and the seconds disc features a guilloché Clous de Paris pattern for a refined decorative touch.
Inside beats the X-Centric automatic movement, oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 48-hour power reserve. This caliber was developed in collaboration with Jean-François Mojon and features sandblasted and black-coated bridges, a rectangular balance bridge, and an off-centered rotor adorned with wave-like radiating patterns.
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap and is priced at €10,800.
