This marks the first major update for the Daytona chronograph since 2000. The 40mm platinum case now features bevelled edges to enhance the play of light and shadows. The lugs have been widened for a more natural integration with the bracelet. The brown Cerachrom ceramic bezel is now framed by an outer ring of mirror-polished platinum, further accentuating the metallic feel, and the numerals and graduations also feature a platinum coating.
The redesigned dial primarily improves visual balance, featuring slimmer hour markers and narrower sub-dial rings. The fresh ice blue dial is adorned with a sunray finish. The layout includes:
-
A 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock.
-
A small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
-
A 12-hour chronograph counter at 9 o’clock.
The rings on all three sub-dials are finished in brown, creating a harmonious look with the bezel.

This new model is Rolex’s first sports watch with a transparent case back. Through the sapphire crystal, one can view the new in-house Calibre 4131 self-winding movement. This movement is equipped with a patented Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring, achieving a precision rating of -2/+2 seconds per day. It offers a 72-hour power reserve.
Paired with a platinum bracelet, the watch is officially priced at €71,500.
