Inspired by the brand’s pioneering Calibre 7P, the first ultra-thin quartz movement launched in 1976, this watch combines traditional mechanical craftsmanship with modern electronic precision.
Calibre 700P – Hybrid Movement Innovation
Developed over two years, the Calibre 700P pushes mechanical watch accuracy to new heights while remaining entirely mechanical in energy source, requiring no battery. The movement retains a conventional rotor, mainspring barrel, and gear train, but replaces the balance wheel with a high-frequency 32,768 Hz quartz oscillator, making it extremely accurate and fully immune to magnetic interference.
Design and Openworked Dial
The 46.5 mm cushion-shaped case, crafted from 18K white gold, follows the Emperador Coussin line’s signature design. Its openworked dial displays the quartz oscillator at 1 o’clock, hour and minute hands at 3 o’clock, and a micro-rotor at 9 o’clock. The case back reveals a power reserve indicator showing up to 42 hours when fully wound, highlighting the combination of mechanical tradition and electronic precision.
