This PIAGET Altiplano Ultimate Concept High Jewellery watch is part of the 2024 “Flying Dragon & Singing Phoenix” collection. It creatively incorporates the traditional Chinese auspicious motif of the “Flying Dragon”, blending gem-setting, hand-engraved gold, and enamel craftsmanship to create a luxurious and auspicious atmosphere.
The 38mm case is crafted from 18K white gold, measuring just 7mm thick, with a polished finish that highlights striking light and shadow effects. The bezel is set with brilliant-cut round diamonds, and the vertically sculpted lugs are refined and elegant.
The dial was made in collaboration with Swiss enamel artist Anita Porchet, using cloisonné and miniature enamel techniques to depict a “Dragon soaring through the clouds” motif. Hand-engraved gold details bring the dragon’s scales to life with three-dimensional depth, while layered clouds are carved from mother-of-pearl. The dial features a minimalist two-hand layout, maximizing the visibility of the artistry.
