Unveiled at SIHH 2016, the Toric Kaleidoscope Prestige Minute Repeater is a unique masterpiece that unites the art of minute repetition with a mesmerizing kaleidoscope dial — a concept that blends mechanical precision with poetic visual motion.

At the heart of the watch lies a two-layered “kaleidoscope” structure: the upper layer features a fixed spiral-patterned openwork disc, while the lower layer carries a counter-rotating spiral motif. When the minute repeater is activated, the lower disc begins to rotate, creating an entrancing, almost hypnotic play of motion reminiscent of a kaleidoscope’s shifting patterns.

Surrounding the central structure, the dial’s periphery is decorated with matching spiral guilloché engraving — a single dial requiring over 80 hours of hand-engraving. The hour and minute hands are coated in black lacquer, echoing the dial’s dark aesthetic harmony.

Housed in a 45mm rose gold case, the watch is powered by Parmigiani’s in-house PF358 manual-winding movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The movement showcases two lotus-shaped cathedral gongs — elegantly curved for improved acoustic resonance and visual beauty. Comprising 374 components, the caliber beats at 18,000 vph and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
