The Seamaster Railmaster Master Chronometer is the first new release in OMEGA’s Seamaster Railmaster series since 2018. The major change is the newly designed, sharp and minimalist case with a more compact profile, and a size reduction from 40mm to 38mm. The dial now combines a smoky gradient design with the classic three-hand layout, making the visual effect even more striking.
This new version features a retro-sized 38mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 12.36mm. The case has compact, sharp lines, and it is finished with both brushed and polished surfaces, creating a subtle contrast with the mirror-polished bezel and the angled lugs. The screw-down crown provides a good tactile feel and ensures a professional water resistance of 150 meters.
The deep gray smoky gradient dial faithfully reproduces the classic three-hand layout of the original 1957 Railmaster, with no date window, broad arrow hour hand, triangular and non-serif numeral hour markers, and a clear, readable minute track. The outer edge of the dial transitions from dark gray to light gray at the center. The hands and markers are coated with light gray Super-LumiNova for better readability, creating a pure and refined aesthetic.
Powered by the OMEGA 8806 Master Chronometer automatic movement, the watch has a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 55 hours. This movement is certified by METAS for chronometer precision, with daily accuracy within (0/+5) seconds, and it can resist magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The movement’s intricate finishing can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
