At the 2017 SIHH, Montblanc unveiled this vintage-inspired single-pusher chronograph, drawing its design cues from 1930s military watches. Notably, both the case and dial are crafted from bronze, lending the watch a warm patina that will evolve beautifully over time. The large onion-shaped crown further echoes the design language of early pilot’s watches.

The 44mm case houses a bronze dial with a clean, legible layout: central hour, minute, and chronograph seconds hands, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. Around the periphery lies a tachymeter scale, allowing the wearer to measure speed over a distance of 1,000 meters and read the corresponding value in kilometers per hour.
The onion crown operates the chronograph single-handedly — start, stop, and reset — with a single push mechanism.
Inside beats the Minerva MB M16.29 manual-winding, column-wheel, single-pusher chronograph movement, a caliber originally designed for pocket watches. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement showcases exceptional mechanical architecture and hand-finishing. It runs at 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz) and offers a 50-hour power reserve.
The official retail price is €27,500, and the watch is limited to 100 pieces.
