The Tambour eVolution dual-time zone chronograph was released at the 2013 Baselworld. As the name “eVolution” suggests, Louis Vuitton sees this as an innovative attempt in the Tambour collection.

Compared to the traditional Tambour, the eVolution features an octagonal crown with a trapezoidal angle, unlike the previous crown shape. The case, made of stainless steel, is fitted with a black MMC alloy bezel. This alloy, commonly found in F1 racing and aerospace, offers excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and lightness, marking its debut in watchmaking.

The dial features gold Arabic numerals for high legibility, and the second time zone hand is in a striking deep red, standing out against the black dial. The day/night display is positioned at 6 o’clock, while the date window sits between 4 and 5 o’clock, displaying the next 3 days’ dates.

Powered by the LV92 automatic movement, the watch offers a 42-hour power reserve, which is standard for a chronograph. With a 100-meter water resistance rating, it’s practical enough to wear even while swimming.

Overall, the eVolution is bolder and more dynamic compared to previous Tambour designs, with a 45mm dial diameter that requires a strong presence to wear comfortably.
