Longines has rarely produced watches with complex functions on the dial. The Saint Imier Retrograde Moon Phases released at Basel in 2012 is considered a very noteworthy entry-level watch with jump complications.
The 44mm stainless steel case is suitable for daily wear and is resistant to scratches (it can be polished easily). The silver-white dial features six thoughtfully arranged sub-dials: the 12 o’clock day of the week and 6 o’clock moon phase indicator are aligned, while the 3 o’clock date display and 9 o’clock second time zone are symmetrically placed, providing all essential functions for daily use. Arabic numerals are used as hour markers, improving readability compared to previous models.
The movement is equipped with a customized ETA Cal.L707 movement built for Longines, with a power reserve of 48 hours, which is sufficient for daily wear.
