The Longines Conquest Classic serves as the official timepiece of the Longines Hong Kong Masters and also as the winner’s prize for the Belmont Stakes Triple Crown race, embodying the spirit of equestrian excellence and refined sportiness. Designed as an elevated take on the classic Conquest sports line, the Conquest Classic uses more luxurious materials and maintains a versatile, elegant aesthetic suitable for daily wear.
Unveiled at Baselworld, the Conquest Classic Chronograph collection features six models, including two bi-color versions that pair a 41 mm stainless steel case with a rose gold bezel. The hands, hour markers, and chronograph pushers are crafted in matching rose gold, creating a cohesive and refined contrast with the steel elements. Some models within the Conquest family even incorporate ceramic bezels — notably the black ceramic variant, which includes a tachymeter scale.
The dial, decorated with vertical satin-brushed texture, is available in black or white, featuring a traditional tri-compax chronograph layout with a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock. The subdials feature fine circular graining for better legibility, while the hands and markers are coated with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light.
Through the sapphire crystal case back, the automatic L688 column-wheel chronograph movement is visible — an evolution of the ETA 7750, upgraded with a column wheel mechanism and offering a 54-hour power reserve. This caliber also forms the basis of other Swatch Group chronographs such as the Omega Cal.1164 and Hamilton H21.
The Conquest Classic line also includes date-only and diamond-set versions, with options for steel bracelets or leather straps. Remarkably, the model is water-resistant to 500 meters, making it both elegant and exceptionally robust.
