The IWC Le Petit Prince Big Pilot is the fifth watch in IWC’s tribute to Le Petit Prince, and if we are not mistaken, it is also the final piece in this thematic series. As a “Big Pilot,” the watch naturally boasts a substantial size, with a 46mm stainless steel case, perfect for men with a bold style.
The Big Pilot is powered by the Calibre 51111 automatic movement, the longest power reserve in the IWC Pilot’s collection, offering an impressive 7-day power reserve. At the 3 o’clock position, you’ll find the prominently designed power reserve indicator, perfectly complementing the oversized diamond-shaped crown.
The deep blue sunburst dial is a standout feature, and the rhodium-plated hands and hour markers provide a visually dynamic effect. Compared to the standard version, the markers are more robust, and the second-hand scale features 1/4-second intervals for greater precision.
This limited edition of 1,000 pieces is uniquely numbered on the back, along with a graphic depicting the Little Prince on his planet. If you missed the earlier releases in the series, this long-power-reserve model is certainly worth considering.
