Hautlence Vortex Primar Collaboration with Eric Cantona
Designed in partnership with former French football icon Eric Cantona, the Hautlence Vortex Primar embraces a geometric color-block theme inspired by Piet Mondrian. This artistic influence enhances the sculptural, modernist appeal while highlighting the watch’s technical depth.
The futuristic titanium case is built with 19 sapphire crystal panels, creating a multi-window structure that resembles a sci-fi cockpit. This construction provides a 360-degree view of the mechanical landscape inside—one of the defining features of the Vortex line.
Jumping Hour Mechanism & Mechanical Animation
A clear sapphire aperture at 9 o’clock displays the digital jumping hour, while a retrograde minute scale at 12 o’clock is printed on a translucent blue sapphire plate.
At the bottom lies the exposed escapement at 6 o’clock, adding depth and dynamic presence to the dial.
Each time the hour jumps, the escapement rotates 60 degrees, creating a visual animation reminiscent of a tourbillon while improving positional accuracy. This motion has become one of the most celebrated characteristics of the Hautlence Vortex Primar.
