The centerpiece of this ring is a golden-brown tourmaline, cut into a rare hexagonal shape, showcasing a transparent and crystalline quality. Due to the relatively high birefringence (0.018-0.040) of this natural gemstone, a typical “doubling” effect can be observed through the table of the tourmaline – the facet edges appear doubled and overlapping, with scattered points of light, creating a visually captivating and dizzying effect.
The setting is crafted from gold, forming six groups of three-dimensional geometric facets that naturally connect with the hexagonal master stone. These six faceted sections are paved with over 200 custom-cut baguette diamonds, arranged like bricks building layered and spiraling staircases, demonstrating remarkable visual tension. Each baguette diamond is custom-cut for seamless alignment, and their translucent quality naturally complements the tourmaline center stone.
