In 2023, BVLGARI introduced the sophisticated Octo Roma Striking Papillon Tourbillon. This timepiece uniquely combines three signature complications: a central flying tourbillon, a digital jumping hour, and a Papillon wandering minutes system. The striking combination of a black case and a fluorescent green dial creates a particularly bold and youthful aesthetic.

The 44mm case is crafted from titanium and treated with a black DLC coating, resulting in a deep, matte black finish. The lugs have been redesigned for improved ergonomics, ensuring an excellent wearing experience.

The dial features:

• A central flying tourbillon at the center, allowing constant appreciation of the intricate mechanics.

• A digital jumping hour aperture at 12 o’clock.

• The Papillon wandering minutes system, which employs two rhombus-shaped minute hands. Only the hand indicating the current minutes rotates vertically to point to the minute track, while the other remains horizontally aligned with the dial’s center. At the end of each 60-minute cycle, the active minute hand automatically retracts, and the other simultaneously moves into position to begin indicating the next hour, creating a fascinating transition every hour.

Powering the watch is the BVL 332 manual-winding movement. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 60-hour power reserve. Turning the watch over reveals the movement’s base plate, which emphasizes circular geometric elements. The power reserve indicator and the BVLGARI logo on the back are also highlighted in green.

Paired with a black alligator leather strap, the watch is officially priced at €130,000.
