This ultra-thin chronograph GMT by Bvlgari was launched to celebrate the brand’s 140th anniversary. The dial is decorated with the hand-sketch of the BVL 318 ultra-thin movement by the brand’s Creative Director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, as a tribute to enduring design passion.

The 43 mm stainless steel case continues the Octo Finissimo’s signature octagonal geometry, with a thickness of only 8.75 mm. Its surfaces feature alternating mirror-polish, circular and radiating brushing, and vertical drawing finishes to present a richly three-dimensional play of light. A screw-down crown inlaid with ceramic provides 100 m water resistance.

The white sand-blasted dial at 3 o’clock features the second-time-zone disc, at 6 o’clock the 30-minute chronograph counter, at 9 o’clock the small seconds. The dial reproduces the BVL 318 movement sketch—balance wheel at 5, gear train at 11, ruby bearings and Geneva waves—capturing the designer’s hand-drawn lines and building a subtle emotional connection between wearer and designer.

On the reverse, the actual in-house BVL 318 automatic movement is visible: only 3.3 mm thick, with 55-hour power reserve. The sapphire case-back bears the “1884-2024” anniversary inscription and the individually numbered edition. The watch is limited to 140 pieces, fitted with a stainless steel bracelet, and the official retail price is €20,800.
