The Hypnotic Blue bracelet and brooch set is part of Boucheron’s 2022 “Histoire de Style, Like a Queen” High Jewelry Collection, inspired by the double-loop diamond brooch that Boucheron created for Queen Elizabeth II as a gift for her 18th birthday. The new creations reinterpret this emblematic Art Deco design through the luminous contrast of aquamarine and deep blue lacquer.
In 1937, Prince George purchased the original double-loop diamond brooch from Boucheron’s London boutique as a present for the young Princess Elizabeth. Over the next seven decades of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II wore this brooch on numerous historic occasions, including the 2012 Diamond Jubilee and the 2022 Platinum Jubilee, symbolizing continuity and royal elegance.
In the new interpretation, Boucheron faithfully recreates the brooch’s perfectly symmetrical double-loop structure in white gold, echoing the pure geometry of the Art Deco style. The design features step-cut and cabochon-cut aquamarines, paired with brilliant-cut diamonds for a refined sparkle. The most striking modern touch comes from the deep blue lacquer detailing along the scalloped edges, which adds both visual depth and a contemporary flair.
The double-loop bracelet features broad white-gold bands coated in deep blue lacquer, bordered with diamond pavé edges that enhance its elegance. A hinged mechanism ensures comfortable wear. The double-loop brooch can be detached and worn either as a single or double brooch, offering versatile styling options for modern collectors.
