This year, Longines introduces the Heritage 1918, a faithful revival of a 1918 vintage chronograph that has been simplified into a classic small-seconds design. Despite the streamlined functionality, the watch retains many of the defining vintage details of the original — including the script-style Longines logo, railway minute track, honey-brown Arabic numerals, cathedral-style hands, and the onion-shaped crown reminiscent of early pocket watches.
The original 1918 model was Longines’ first chronograph wristwatch, featuring a case design closely inspired by pocket watches of the era. For this modern reinterpretation, Longines has refined the lugs for improved articulation and added a date display at 6 o’clock, balancing period charm with modern practicality.
Powering the watch is the Longines L615 automatic movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Two versions are available: a 38.5mm stainless steel model with a diamond-set bezel designed for women (priced at USD 5,650), and a 41mm stainless steel model suited for men (priced at USD 1,850).
