This is Ralph Lauren’s first timepiece featuring an enamel miniature painting, making it particularly special. Limited to only two pieces worldwide, it marks a milestone for the brand. Previously, RL had only released watches with white enamel dials; this new edition showcases a finely painted polo motif, a perfect reflection of Ralph Lauren’s enduring equestrian spirit.The case retains the classic Stirrup shape, crafted from 18K white gold, which beautifully complements the green enamel dial. The dial is created using the traditional “Geneva Technique”, where artisans engrave the motif outlines onto a white gold base, apply multiple layers of black or green enamel, and fire them to form the background. The polo player is then hand-painted over this base with 15–20 layers of translucent enamel colors. Each dial requires over 80 hours of work and 20–25 firings to complete — a true masterpiece of craftsmanship.
Only a handful of enamel artists in Geneva are capable of executing such complex work. This dial was crafted in the atelier of Dominique Baron, an acclaimed enamelist whose workshop also produces dials for Jaeger-LeCoultre and Van Cleef & Arpels.Thanks to Ralph Lauren’s close partnership with the Richemont Group, its watches benefit from exceptional mechanical quality. This model is equipped with the RL701 automatic movement, developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre exclusively for Ralph Lauren.
