IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Moon & Tide — Sailing-Inspired Complication
Introduced at W&W 2020, the IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Moon & Tide is the first IWC watch to feature a tide display complication. As a highlight of the 2020 Portugieser series, it pays tribute to the collection’s navigational heritage while offering modern functionality for sailors and enthusiasts.

Design & Dial
The 44.6mm red gold case houses a blue dial with classic Portugieser elements: minute tracks, Arabic numerals, and leaf-shaped hands. At 6 o’clock, a tide display disc indicates high and low tides with a red arrow. The display advances by 24 minutes per tidal cycle and completes one full revolution every 14.76 days, ensuring precise tidal tracking.
Moon Phase & Complications
The watch features a double moon phase display that reflects tidal strength based on lunar cycles. Full and new moons generate spring tides, while waxing and waning phases produce neap tides. This integration of aesthetics and practicality makes it ideal for maritime enthusiasts.
Movement & Performance
Powered by the 82835 automatic movement with Pellaton winding and ceramic components, the watch beats at 28,800 vph and provides a 60-hour power reserve. The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance reaches 60 meters, and the watch is paired with a blue fabric-lined rubber strap.
