The 45mm stainless steel case undergoes an elaborate finishing process: first, a thin layer of black PVD coating is applied, then partially hand-polished to remove sections of the coating, creating a subtly aged, weathered effect. The scratches and fading around the edges are deliberately emphasized, giving the watch the look of a timepiece that has endured decades of history. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters.

The California dial design dates back to the 1930s and is now quite rare. Its hallmark lies in the mixed index layout—Roman numerals at 1, 2, 10, and 11 o’clock, Arabic numerals at 4, 5, 7, and 8 o’clock, with baton markers at 3, 6, and 9, and a triangle at 12 o’clock. The new model features a matte gradient green dial with beige markers, enhancing its vintage charm.

Inside ticks the P.5000 manual-winding movement, beating at 21,600 vph and offering an 8-day power reserve.
It comes with a dark brown calfskin strap embossed with the historical “G. Panerai e Figlio” inscription—a tribute to Panerai’s early Florentine workshop. The official retail price is €12,500.
