Swiss independent watchmaker ArtyA launched the “Tiny Purity Tourbillon” skeleton tourbillon watch during the 2024 Geneva Watch Exhibition. Its most distinctive feature is the fully transparent sapphire crystal case. The highly skeletonized movement appears to float within the case, showcasing an ultimate transparent spatial beauty from every angle.
The new timepiece features a 39mm diameter case, with the case, lugs, and crown all crafted from cut sapphire crystal, secured by only a few screws, creating a striking crystal box-like effect.
The skeletonized movement structure is displayed like architecture at the center of the dial—an off-center hour and minute dial is positioned at 3 o’clock, while two skeletonized mainspring barrels are symmetrically arranged at 2 and 4 o’clock. The movement’s power is transmitted through the central gear train to the large flying tourbillon at 9 o’clock. This tourbillon measures 16.2mm in diameter, at least 50% larger than conventional tourbillons, rotating once every 60 seconds while also functioning as a seconds indicator.
Powered by a manual-winding movement, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with dual mainspring barrels providing a 72-hour power reserve. The black movement plates feature a concentric circular design, echoing the rotation of the tourbillon.
Paired with an alligator leather strap, the official price is ≈ 127,500 EUR.
