Longines Pulsometer Chronograph – Vintage-Inspired Medical Chronograph
Longines Pulsometer Chronograph is one of the most distinctive modern Longines creations, immediately recognizable by its medical pulsometer scale and vintage styling. Inspired by a 1920s doctor’s pulsometer watch, it even features the historic Longines script logo for an authentic retro appearance.

Dial Design and Pulsometer Function
The watch features a 40 mm stainless-steel case with a crisp white enamel dial, paired with blue Breguet-style hands, black hour markers, railway-track scales, and a striking red pulsometer scale. The contrasting use of white, black, red, and blue ensures exceptional legibility.
The 3 o’clock subdial serves as a 30-minute counter, while the 9 o’clock subdial displays the running seconds. To use the pulsometer: activate the chronograph, count 30 heartbeats, then stop it—the red scale instantly shows the pulse rate. This functionality connects directly to the original medical purpose of the Longines Pulsometer Chronograph.

Movement and Performance
Inside the watch is the manually modified ETA-based L788.2 movement, created exclusively for Longines. This single-button chronograph caliber offers a robust 54-hour power reserve and beats at 28,800 vph. The design remains faithful to the historic monopusher layout while delivering modern reliability and precision.
