Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere Watch

Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere is a landmark creation from the reborn independent Swiss brand Angelus, taking four years of development. Introduced as the first model after the brand’s 2011 revival, this watch embodies bold mechanical innovation, combining avant-garde design with a massive suspended tourbillon that captivates collectors and watch enthusiasts alike. The Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere stands as a statement of independent watchmaking and modern horological artistry.

Design Inspired by 1970s Industrial Aesthetics

The watch features a 62.75mm × 38mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 15mm, inspired by the curved corners of 1970s televisions. The left side hosts a large hour-minute dial in gray sapphire, revealing the bridges of the movement, while markers and the “Dead Second” seconds hand pay homage to the quartz watches of the 1970s that once challenged Angelus. Its industrial design combines bold geometry with meticulous finishing for a unique visual impact.

Oversized External Tourbillon and In-House Movement

On the right, the Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere displays a 16.25mm suspended tourbillon, one of the largest in contemporary watchmaking. A sapphire window in the case side enhances its visibility. The in-house Caliber A100, crafted by La Joux-Perret, features geometric industrial finishing on the barrel and gear bridges. Running at 18,000 vph and offering a 90-hour power reserve, the movement exemplifies mechanical mastery and aesthetic refinement. More details about La Joux-Perret movements can be found at La Joux-Perret Official Site.

Exclusivity and Collectibility

Limited to just 25 pieces, the Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere commands attention for its scale, originality, and mechanical ingenuity. While it is not intended for daily wear, it represents the pinnacle of independent watchmaking, merging heritage inspiration with modern innovation. Collectors value its rarity, industrial design cues, and the dramatic visual presence of its tourbillon.
