Omega Seamaster 007 Limited Edition

2020 became widely known as the Year of 007, marking a major moment for fans of the legendary secret agent. The 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die, was originally scheduled for release in April of that year. Beginning January 7th, Omega introduced a new 007-themed timepiece on the 7th of each month, continuing the long-standing partnership between the brand and the world-famous spy. The Omega Seamaster 007 Limited Edition series quickly gained attention for its cinematic details and strong connection to Bond’s history.

The first release of the series was the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition. Launched in 2019, it commemorated the 50th anniversary of the sixth Bond movie, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969). This model was produced in 7007 pieces and features a clean black-and-white aesthetic that aligns with the classic character design of James Bond while adding modern craftsmanship.

The black ceramic dial has a black PVD finish and displays a laser-engraved spiral that takes inspiration from the iconic gun-barrel sequence seen at the start of every Bond film. The spiral’s center measures exactly 9 mm, symbolizing the caliber of Bond’s signature firearm. At 12 o’clock, the index is crafted from 18K gold and carries the design of the Bond family coat of arms, adding historical depth for collectors.

The hour markers feature luminous coating, and a hidden number 50 appears inside the 10 o’clock marker to highlight the fiftieth anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. At 6 o’clock is a date window with the number 7 displayed using the same angled typeface seen in the official 007 logo. On the side of the stainless-steel case, an 18K gold plate shows the limited-edition number, integrated into the 007 logo to emphasize the exclusivity of the 7007-piece production.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire caseback decorated with the Bond family crest and the title of the film’s famous theme song, We Have All the Time in the World. The watch is delivered in a special James Bond presentation box featuring the gun-barrel spiral and a bullet-shaped opening button. The set includes a stainless-steel bracelet and a strap-changing tool, allowing the wearer to switch between different looks.

Inside the watch is the Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, tested by METAS to withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. It provides a 55-hour power reserve and features the signature Geneva-wave decoration visible through the caseback. This combination of technical performance and cinematic storytelling makes the Omega Seamaster 007 Limited Edition a desirable item for both Bond enthusiasts and serious watch collectors.
