MB&F Horological Machine No.7 Aquapod – Jellyfish-Inspired Tourbillon Diver
The MB&F Horological Machine No.7 Aquapod is one of the most iconic and artistic creations ever produced by MB&F.
Inspired by the fluid and organic form of a jellyfish, the Aquapod pushes traditional horology into the world of
kinetic sculpture. First unveiled at SIHH 2017, it became MB&F’s first ocean-themed watch, combining radical design with
high-end Swiss mechanical mastery.

Design Inspired by Marine Life
The Aquapod is dominated by its enormous 53.8 mm titanium case, structured vertically like the body of a jellyfish.
A large blue ceramic rotating bezel surrounds the upper sapphire dome. Although it features traditional dive timing markers,
the Aquapod is only rated to 50 meters of water resistance—this is more of a horological art piece than a
professional diving instrument.
The dual sapphire domes (top and bottom) enhance the watch’s dramatic 3D presence. With a thickness of
21.3 mm, the Aquapod is unmistakably bold on the wrist, floating like a mechanical organism rather than a
traditional wristwatch.

Central Flying Tourbillon
At the center of the structure is a breathtaking 60-second flying tourbillon, housed beneath the top dome.
Its cage, inspired by spacecraft wings, rotates visibly in all directions, reinforcing the watch’s alien aesthetic.
The time display works differently from traditional watches: the black hour and minute discs rotate around the central axis,
while a blue marker at 6 o’clock displays the current time.
Dual-Crown Operating System
The two-crown layout is a signature feature.
• The left crown winds the movement.
• The right crown is used to set the time.
Their oversized design ensures excellent grip, even when used underwater.

Sculptural Self-Winding Rotor
The exhibition case back showcases one of the most visually unique rotors produced by MB&F. Carved from a single block
of titanium, the 3D turbine-style rotor resembles a rocket engine. The movement is finished to MB&F’s high standards,
with polished edges and brushed surfaces throughout. The in-house movement provides an impressive
72-hour power reserve.
Price, Rarity & Availability
Produced in a limited edition of only 33 pieces, the MB&F Horological Machine No.7 Aquapod is exceptionally rare.
Official retail price: €109,760.
